Torsion and extension springs, sized to your door’s actual weight. We replace in pairs, because the second spring is the same age as the first and is usually only weeks behind it.

Frayed, snapped or jumped lift cables, and re-seating drums so the door lifts level again. A cable failure usually means the door is now held by one side only.
Track and roller repair
Straightening or replacing bent track, swapping worn nylon or steel rollers, and re-railing a door that has come off its track.

Repair it or replace it?
The honest test is the panels, not the hardware. Springs, cables, rollers, tracks and openers are all wear items and all replaceable, so a 25-year-old door with straight sound panels is usually worth repairing. Panels are the part that cannot be renewed. Once the bottom section is rusted through, or a panel is creased from being reversed into, you are paying to prop up a door that will fail again somewhere else.
We will tell you which of those two you have. We would rather do a repair you are happy with than sell you a door you did not need.

How quickly can you get to me?
We offer same-day service on standard bookings, and we run 24/7 emergency service for a door that will not close or a snapped spring. Book before 1pm and we normally reach you the same day. We dispatch from Appleby Line in Burlington, so Burlington is minutes away and Hamilton is about 20 minutes.
What does garage door repair cost?
It depends on the part and the door. A safety sensor realignment and a pair of torsion springs on a heavy insulated double door are very different jobs, so a number over the phone would be a guess. What we can promise is that the technician diagnoses the fault, explains it, and gives you the price before any work begins. Nothing happens at an unknown cost.
Can I replace a garage door spring myself?
We strongly advise against it. A torsion spring stores enough energy to break bones, and winding one requires the correct bars and technique. This is the repair where DIY most often ends in an injury. Cables under load are the same. Leave both to a technician.
Do you carry parts on the truck?
Yes. Our trucks carry the standard torsion spring sizes, cables, rollers, bottom seals, safety sensors, and the common opener gear kits and logic boards. Most repairs are finished on the first visit rather than needing a second trip.
How long should a garage door spring last?
A standard spring is rated for about 10,000 cycles, where one cycle is one trip up and one trip down. A family opening the door four times a day uses roughly 1,460 cycles a year, so about seven years. Ontario’s freeze-thaw and road salt shorten that, because a stiff corroded door makes the spring work harder on every lift.
Is your repair work guaranteed?
Every repair carries a 3-year labour warranty. Parts carry their manufacturer warranty on top of that. Our technicians are licensed and insured, and we fit pro-grade parts rather than hardware-store equivalents.
My door reverses before it closes. Is that a fault?
That is the auto-reverse safety doing its job, and it means something is interrupting it. Check the two sensors near the floor for misalignment, a box in the beam, or a cobweb across a lens, and confirm both indicator LEDs are lit and steady. If they are clear and it still reverses, the close-force setting or the sensor wiring needs attention. Never disable the safety to force a door closed.
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year for a door in daily use. A service visit balances the door, lubricates the torsion bar and rollers, checks cable and spring wear, tightens hardware, and tests the auto-reverse safety. Most of the emergency calls we run in January started as a small balance problem in October.
